Ashes & Embers began with a simple purpose: bridge the gap in support when hard times hit — whether they hit the frontline or at home.
But supporting a first responder family means more than showing up in crisis. It means strengthening the people and relationships behind the response, creating resources for every season of this life, and investing in the generation coming up behind them.

The Ember Box
The Ember Box is a thoughtfully curated collection of educational resources, practical tools, and guidance designed to help frontline professionals and their support systems navigate the unique challenges of frontline life.
Whether preparing for an academy, beginning a career, or adjusting to the demands of the profession, the Ember Box helps families build understanding, strengthen communication, and feel better prepared for the road ahead.
Our goal is simple: provide families with the tools and knowledge to build a strong foundation before challenges arise.
Therapy Access Initiative
Mental health care is an important part of supporting the entire frontline family, yet cost and difficulty finding the right provider can prevent families from getting support. Through our Therapy Access Initiative, Ashes & Embers Foundation plans to help eligible frontline professionals and their immediate family members access licensed mental health care by covering up to six therapy sessions, at a maximum of $140 per visit, within six months of approval.
Participants may choose to use insurance benefits, with assistance toward copays or coinsurance, or a therapist's self-pay rate, up to $140 per session. We can also help connect families with licensed mental health professionals familiar with frontline life.
Anticipated launch: January 2027. We are accepting applications now. Applications will be reviewed as program funding becomes available; submitting an application does not guarantee approval or financial assistance.
